Test qualified demand, not just cheaper submissions.
Choose the one uncertainty preventing sales from acting: budget fit, preferred location or buying window. Add a question only if its answer changes routing or follow-up. Long forms can lose good prospects as well as casual ones; short forms can leave sales doing work the form could have done.
Keep the audience, offer, creative and follow-up process as comparable as possible. Test the current form against one version with a single useful qualifying field. Record spend, valid contacts, qualified leads, completed visits and elapsed time. Do not declare a winner from a handful of bookings or from CPL alone.
Phone verification can confirm access to a number; it does not confirm budget, intent or a booking. Consider it when invalid contact details are a measured problem. Track completion drop-off and cost per qualified lead alongside valid-contact rate. Check the current platform and country availability before promising a native verification feature.
Explain what the person receives and how your team will contact them. Offer truthful price and location context before submission. Make privacy information accessible, restrict access to lead data and avoid collecting personal documents just to qualify an enquiry.
India: test a project budget band when that is the main sales mismatch. Dubai: test preferred call time or viewing mode when overseas coordination is the main bottleneck. These are hypotheses, not universal best practices. Keep the simpler version if the extra question adds friction without improving useful outcomes.
