Budgets and unit economics

What is the minimum budget to advertise a project?

Last updated 2026-09-09

Around ₹1,00,000 a month in media is our working minimum, because the platform optimisation floor sits at roughly ₹40,000–₹80,000 a month. Below that floor a campaign cannot gather enough conversion events to exit the learning phase, so the results are noise rather than signal — you are paying for data you cannot act on. We disqualify projects below the floor rather than take the engagement, because there is no honest result to sell at that level.

What the learning phase actually requires

Meta needs roughly 50 optimisation events per ad set per week to stabilise delivery. At a ₹400 cost per lead that is about ₹20,000 per ad set per week before the algorithm is working with a full signal — and a real campaign has more than one ad set, because a single cell tells you nothing about what to change.

Split a small budget across several cells and every cell stays under-powered. Concentrate it into one cell and you learn one thing very slowly. Neither is a campaign; both are a way of spending money to find out nothing.

If you are genuinely below the floor

Spend the money on the market read instead, and launch properly one quarter later. A ₹40,000 monthly campaign across six months buys you ₹2,40,000 of noise. The same money buys a Phase 0 diagnostic and a real one-month test at a budget that can actually produce a signal.
