Working together

Can you work alongside my existing agency?

Last updated 2026-09-09

Yes, where the split is clean — for example, they hold brand and offline while we hold performance, or they run creative production against a research brief we produce. No, where two parties are optimising the same ad account, because two people making budget decisions on one campaign produces worse results than either would alone, and neither can be held to a number. If the arrangement cannot be described in one sentence naming who owns which metric, it will not work.

Splits that work

  • Research and strategy with us, execution with them
  • Performance with us, brand and offline with them
  • Media with us, creative production with their studio against our brief
  • Phase 0 with us as a one-off diagnostic, everything else unchanged

The last is the most common way people start, and it is deliberately low-commitment: a paid market read that their existing agency can then execute against.

The split that does not work

Both parties buying media in the same account towards the same objective. Beyond the coordination problem, it makes accountability impossible — every result has two authors and every failure has none.

If the existing relationship is valued and they are already running the ad account well, the honest recommendation may be that you do not need us for performance at all. Phase 0 is still useful, and it is separable.
