Meta, Google and channel choice

Instant lead forms produce more leads at lower cost with worse contact rates; landing pages produce fewer, better and more expensive leads. Neither is correct in the abstract. If your sales team has spare capacity and you need volume to find the market, use instant forms with qualifying questions. If your team is saturated and wasting time on unreachable enquiries, a landing page filters before the lead exists, which is cheaper than filtering afterwards.
Everything that makes a landing page convert worse is also what makes its leads better. A buyer who clicks through, waits for a page to load, reads it and then fills a form has demonstrated more intent than one who tapped a pre-filled overlay.
So the choice is really about where you want to spend the filtering — in the ad platform, or in your sales team's afternoon.
A Phase 0 call is a questionnaire, not a pitch. You get the market read before anyone spends a rupee on advertising.
