What happens if the leads do not convert?

Last updated 2026-09-09

First we establish where it actually broke, because "leads did not convert" describes four different failures with four different fixes. The check is: contact rate, speed to first call, site-visit rate, and the reason codes on lost leads. If contact rate is fine and site visits are not happening, the problem is downstream of us. If contact rate is poor, it is ours. Leads failing the written definition are replaced free when flagged within seven days regardless of which it turns out to be.

The four failure points, in order of how often they are the cause

OL is not available here, so read this as a ranked list.

  • Speed to first call. Median over 24 hours and nothing downstream can be assessed fairly. This is the most common cause and the least popular finding.
  • Targeting or creative attracting the wrong buyer. Shows up as enquiries clustering below your entry price. Ours to fix.
  • Optimisation event. If the campaign optimises for form fills rather than a CRM qualification event, the platform is finding form-fillers. Ours to fix, and it needs your CRM connected.
  • Price or product. Contact rate good, site visits good, nobody books. At that point advertising is not the constraint and continuing to spend is the wrong move.

The fourth one is the important one

If the diagnosis lands on price or product, we will say so, and the recommendation will be to stop spending rather than to change the creative. That is unusual and it is the reason Phase 0 is charged for — a research gate that cannot conclude "no" is not a gate.

It is also the least commercially convenient thing we do, which is roughly the point.

A Phase 0 call is a questionnaire, not a pitch. You get the market read before anyone spends a rupee on advertising.
